I bought two, 7" Slinky. One for a gift and one for me.
The first is way too fiddly as the tolerances were off for the separate sleeves to move freely. The brackets for the slide glide/locks actually had to be bent to make a clearance and allow the rotation of the stages. You literally have to turn it upside down to align the pins to move into position to raise/lower or lock the sections. It's never going to be right. It works but way too fiddly to mess with much. Seems the price tag should have been a true indication of something for next to nothing.
The collapsible design is genius — folds down small but performs like a full-sized smokeless fire pit. Super sturdy, easy to clean, and you can cook right on top. Love seeing innovation like this from an American brand!
This is the perfect 3-in-1 fire pit. And best of all, it's a quality product. I imagine this product outlasting me. I'll have to figure out which of my kids I'll leave it to in my will.
